Rural Route 29734, sometimes called “Harwood’s Favorite Drive”, provides stunning vistas of the natural history of the area.
Harwood Cemetery, built in 1873. Currently closed for reburial of the re-dead and reinforcement of the perimeter.
Harwood Lake, a man-made lake on the campus of Harwood Community College, a two-year liberal arts college located in the foothills of the Harwood Hills, draws fishermen from as far as Rosemont to frolic on the 800 feet of shoreline.
The Town of Harwood is a rural town with a rich history, known for its spectacular scenery and close proximity to the Boca del Infeirno.
Much of the town is being rebuilt, and we're working to preserve the historical architecture inexplicably spared by the undead in order to retain a vibrant small town feel. We invite you to explore this site and determine why Harwood is being called “The Town That Can Come Back To Life!”
